What is hay fever?
Hay fever is a very common condition in the United States.
It also is called seasonal allergic rhinitis because symptoms are triggered by an allergic reaction.
People with hay fever experience symptoms during certain seasons. It is common in the spring, summer, and fall. Hay fever is not contagious.
What causes it?
It can be caused by allergies.
The allergy is often triggered by pollen, mold, dust mites, and pet dander.
It is often triggered by pollen in the spring, by grasses in the summer, and by weeds in the fall.
Who can get it?
Anyone can get hay fever at any time in his life.
If parents have allergies, their children are more likely to have allergies and more likely to experience hay fever.
What are the signs and symptoms?
Symptoms can be mild to severe:
Runny nose
Congestion
Sneezing
Watery eyes
Itchy eyes
Itchy throat
Roof of mouth itches
Cough
Severe symptoms may make sleeping difficult.
People who experience both asthma and hay fever may also wheeze and become short of breath.
How is it treated?
The best treatment is prevention.
If you have mild symptoms, try an over-the-counter (OTC) medication.
You can buy antihistamines, decongestants, eye drops, and nasal sprays at the store.
Follow the directions. For children under 2 years old, call your doctor.
Antihistamines may help relieve congestion, sneezing, and runny nose.
Decongestants may help relieve sinus symptoms and improve breathing.

Depression is a mood disorder. It can be caused to any people who are not strong with their mind.
What causes depression?
Depression can be caused by a variety of things.
Hormones or a chemical imbalance are believed to cause some cases of depression.
Depression also can be triggered by a life event, such as the death of a loved one or losing a job.
Grief is not considered depression. However, grief can lead to depression or cause similar feelings.
Who can get depression?
Depression can affect anyone at any time.
Women are more likely than men to get depression.
People with a family history of depression are more likely to get depression. However, not everyone with a family history of depression will get depression.
What are the symptoms of depression?
Most people feel sad or down every once in awhile. Feeling down is a common response to everyday stress. Feeling sad is cause for worry when sadness lasts a long time or keeps you from living your normal life. If you have four of more of these symptoms, you may be experiencing depression:

A food allergy is a bad reaction to a food.
The reaction affects the body’s immune system.
Food intolerances and food poisoning are not from an allergy.
What types of food can cause an allergic reaction?
Almost any kind of food can cause an allergic reaction.
Milk, eggs, fish, shellfish, soy, wheat, peanuts, and tree nuts cause most reactions.
Some people are allergic to food additives, color additives, sulfites, and the low-calorie sweetener aspartame.
Who can have a food allergy?
Anyone can have a food allergy.
People with asthma are at greater risk of having life-threatening reactions to a food allergy. However, asthma does not cause the allergic reaction.
Whether or not a person will have an allergic reaction can depend on how much of the food they eat and how long it was cooked.
Smelling or touching the food can cause allergic reactions in sensitive people.
What are reactions to a food allergy?
People’s reactions are different. Most reactions are mild. Some people have life-threatening reactions.

The lips, mouth, and throat might swell and itch.
